Vacation in Vancouver, BC

Our family spent two nights in Vancouver, BC, Canada. It was a fantastic trip, the city was gorgeous, the people were great, and we just had a great time. The kids loved it so much they wanted to move to Canada. :)

This is the Bridge Studio, the place where Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis was filmed. It is across the street from our hotel. The hotel was also a filming location, you'll see pictures of it on the Filming Locations page.

This is the back lot of Stage 5, where Stargate SG-1 was filmed.

Me and the girls, waiting for the Sky Train to arrive. Public transportation here is great!

Erin enjoying her ride on the Sky Train.

Nicole also enjoying her ride on the Sky Train. I think this was one of the best parts of the trip for her. :)

In Downtown, we came across this bit of art that was also structural for the building above it. In full view, it looks like a spring out of a clothes pin. :)

You just CAN'T avoid going to the biggest candy shop in the city when you visit downtown Vancouver!

These are the Kamui Mintara Totems in Burnaby Mountain Park. They're super cool!

Erin is so strong, she can hold up this totem!

Nicole can hold it up too! Wow, what strong kids I have. :)

Nicole couldn't resist rolling down the hill in the park.

This is a huge mural thingy on the ground, also in Burnaby Mountain Park.

This is the view of Vancouver from Burnaby Mountain Park.

And this is a view of a water way on the other side of the park. I'm not sure if this is a river or an inlet from the ocean.

We visited Simon Fraser University, which was the filming location for the world of Tollana in Stargate SG-1.

There were fish in that pond!!

At Simon Fraser University, we came across this artwork. And of course, Nicole had to stand in it. :)

Erin had to stand in it, too. :)

That night, we had dinner with Neil's friend at a great place called Moxie's. Great food!

Here are the girls with Neil's friend, Ellery.

Here's a view of downtown Vancouver, from where we were sitting at Moxie's. It's a lovely city!
